A Mistle-toast to the holiday season

It’s our last Friday in the studio before we head ho-ho-home for the holidays, so we thought we’d share some of the Christmas cheer we’ve been spreading throughout December.

Every morning we’ve been randomly selecting a winner in our annual advent raffle. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I unwrapped my make-your-own brussel sprout garland, and Jordan somehow managed to get his hands on the top prize on the second day! He’s done tree-mendously well recently after being crowned the best apple-bobber at Halloween too.

Next up I’ve got a classic Christmas cracker joke for you.

Who hides in the bakery at Christmas? A mince spy! …and probably also Rob. He’s a big advocate of mince pies, or any type of pie for that matter. We were chatting the other day and he reckons he could eat at least six for breakfast. Naturally, that challenge was accepted and we invited the whole office to join us in a seasonal edition of bake off. We put together a festive hamper to present to the winner and recruited a panel of self acclaimed mince pie connoisseurs to judge in a taste test. Don’t worry, there were enough mince pies for everyone else to enjoy too — and they were delicious!

But wait, there’s myrrh!

We also take part in Christmas Jumper Day every year, raising money for Kirkwood Hospice. I seem to have somehow misplaced my jumper, so it’s a borrowed Los Campesinos! t-shirt and a pair of dusty antlers that I found at the back of the stationary cupboard for me, but that’s close enough.

Anyway, I think that’s all from everyone here at Loom, so let’s wrap this up. Thank you for all of your support this year – we look forward to seeing you again in 2020. We’ll be back in the studio from 2nd January. Take care and have a lovely Christmas everyone!
