A warm ‘Ey up’ to our newest designer

Earlier this year we appointed our newest designer – Caitlin Wagg to our team. Since joining she has added her creative flair to some hugely exciting projects. Here, she tells all about her time so far.

Hello, I’m Caitlin and I’ve joined Loom Creative as a Junior Designer.

I’ve recently graduated just down the road in July at the University of Huddersfield with a degree in Graphic Design, (some say I couldn’t get enough of Huddersfield, I mean… do you blame them?).

During my first three months here so far, I have jumped straight into the great madness of design work Loom are currently undergoing with the most fantastic clients. It’s been full on but fantastically exciting to be part of. I’ve had the privilege to work alongside new brand work for TLF Research, poster work for VISA, and other pretty exciting projects.

My design style is orientated around the best of both worlds really… I love digital illustration, however love screen-printing and the more traditional processes of print. My final major project at Uni delved quite deeply into digitally illustrating playful branding and applying these to posters, promotional material and handmade packaging formats through the screen-printing process.

I’ve had an overload of knowledge and expertise working alongside the team, who have provided the warmest welcome for me. (I may have been fully inducted into the importance of coffee and tea run’s too…).

Jumping straight out of University into Loom will allow me to bring a fresh perspective to the agency and implement new ideas. I’m very excited for my future working with the team and look forward to working on a range of different projects for our clients and putting my touch of creativity into the work we produce.

When I’m not designing, I love to travel, and quite the keen photographer too.
